Those poor Rams. It's Friday morning and still hardly a mention of them on this Access Vikings page. We did just beat our archrival in the highest rated cable event of all time, but soon that Packer haze is going to clear and it's going to be Sunday morning.
It makes sense. The Rams have scored just 24 points in 4 games this year. They were shutout twice. They've lost 14 in a row. We're 4-0. They're 0-4. Rush Limbaugh is trying to buy low on the franchise.
Truth is, I hate games like this. They make me feel like a parent watching his kids doing chores - only there to make sure everything is done correctly. It's inverse rooting. Just making sure the worst doesn't happen.
But what if it does?
It is in St. Louis. They do have Stephen Jackson. Steve Spagnuolo and Brad Childress are BFFs. Football is just controlled chaos. So why not?
And what would be the fallout? Brett Favre's too old. Adrian Peterson fumbles too much. Childress should try mutton chops instead.
Imagine the panic. We'd be the team with a good record that hasn't beaten anyone good. A team without focus. And look at that upcoming schedule! Ravens, Steelers, more Packers. We could be 4-4 before you know it!
