What are your favorite metro-area golf courses?

We had a chance to play the Chaska Town Course on Sunday, and we have to say it is worth the expense. What are your favorite golf courses in the Twin Cities metro area, in terms of value, layout and other factors?

We accepted an invitation from Roughkat to play golf yesterday at the Chaska Town Course. We assumed at the time that he and his fantasy football friends were golfing experts; in truth, we turned out to be the "ringer" in the foursome, even though we carded a 97. Roughkat might have a hard time keeping up on the course with Corey Brewer. It would be a good battle, in any event.

The $60 green fees aren't cheap, but we have to admit: Chaska has some amenities that our usual track, Fort Snelling, just can't offer. The greens were in great shape (though fast!), the holes were challenging and the views were fairly spectacular.

We had played the Town Course on other time, many years ago, but we're not sure we fully embraced the experience as we did yesterday. As such, a question: what are your favorite golf courses, in terms of value, layout or whatnot?
