A 33-year-old Star Prairie, Wis., man died Sunday after falling from his motorcycle.

Reed Shipley was southbound on County Hwy. CC/Wall Street in Star Prairie on Friday and was behind a turning truck when a 2012 Chevrolet Impala traveling east on County Hwy. C/CC drove into the intersection, according to the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office.

Shipley pressed the brakes, lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected, the Sheriff's Office news release said. The car and motorcycle did not collide.

Shipley was not wearing a helmet, according to the release.

Shipley was transported to the hospital, where he died of his injuries Sunday. The Impala driver, Angela Berg, and her three minor passengers were not injured.

The crash is the third traffic fatality in the county this year, according to the news release.
