A car traveling the wrong way in the left lane was struck by at least one other vehicle on Interstate 94 Friday night, causing a multi-vehicle crash and leading to a brief closure of the freeway's westbound lanes.

I-94 westbound had been closed from Minneapolis to Brooklyn Center until 10 p.m., causing a standstill that stretched for several miles.

Details about the crash, including the number of vehicles and injuries involved, were not available.
