Parent opportunity slated at Breck

Parents of prospective students are welcome to spend a morning at Breck School on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Activities will include campus tours and the opportunity to sit in on classes, meet with students and faculty and watch the day unfold. The admissions team will be on hand to answer questions, and child care is available for children 3 and older.

St. David's presents forum on resiliency

St. David's Center for Child & Family Development will present a community symposium on "The Neuroscience of Childhood Stress and Applications That Foster Resiliency" on Dec. 12.

The symposium will take place at Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Av. N., Plymouth. It will be presented twice, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. (check-in at 8:30 a.m.) and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. (check-in at 12:30 p.m.).

Community professionals in the areas of child development and mental health, medical professionals, educators and parents and caregivers are invited to attend this in-depth look at the science of early brain development and its application.
