City hosts 5K run/walkPlymouth will host the first annual "Paint the Pavement" 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday.
The race will take place at 9 a.m. at the Hilde Performance Center, with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Pre-registration costs $17 a person; on-site registration is $20. Children under age 9 are free. Long-sleeved T-shirts will be provided and proceeds go to the Plymouth Arts Council.

Police department offers 'File of Life'The Plymouth Police Department is offering residents a tool to help give lifesaving information to emergency responders. The File of Life gives responders critical information when victims aren't able to speak for themselves such as their medical history, allergies and emergency contact information.
To pick up a free File of Life card and holder, go to the Police Department at 3400 Plymouth Blvd. between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays or 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Colonial Church packs meals for HaitiColonial Church of Edina on Saturday will again be packing meals for Haiti.
Last year, 800 people packed 267,000 meals to ship to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. This year they will be filling an entire semi-trailer truck with vacuum-packed meals from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
