Vendors at wedding fair The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is sponsoring an "All About Weddings Fair" from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 22 at the arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chanhassen.

The event is designed to provide brides- and grooms-to-be with a one-stop source of information about catering, liquor service and wedding coordinator services.

Watercolor workshop with Laxen The Arboretum is offering a watercolor workshop, "Winter Watercolor Magic," with artist Charlotte Laxen, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 19-21 at the arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chanhassen.

Class size will be limited to 10 people at beginning to intermediate ability level. Cost is $220 for arboretum members and $240 for non-members. Participants will have an invitation to be part of the arboretum's December 2009 student exhibit and sale.

Water quality grants Residents and business owners within the Nine Mile Creek Watershed District have until Feb. 27 to apply for financial aid from the district to build rain gardens and other projects to protect the creek and improve its water quality.

A workshop detailing what projects are eligible and how to apply will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the Watershed District headquarters at 7710 Computer Av., Suite 135, Edina.

The program offers grants to reimburse property owners for up to 75 percent of the cost of a project. The maximum grant is $3,000 for residential projects and $25,000 for commercial and government projects. The minimum amount is $500.

Projects already completed or in progress are not eligible for funding.

EDEN PRAIRIE

'The Snow Queen' La Danse Fatale, the non-profit premier ballet company of Dance Arts Centre, will present its sixth annual show, "The Snow Queen," at Eden Prairie High School at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 and 2 p.m. Feb. 22.

The show will feature 20 local dancers performing original dramatic choreography.

Landscape exhibition The Minnetonka Center for the Arts will present "An Uncommon Landscape," an exhibition of landscape photography by 14 artists, Feb. 26 through March 26 at the center, located at 2240 North Shore Drive, Wayzata.

An opening reception with the artists will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 26. Both the opening reception and the exhibition are open free to the public.

Regular gallery hours at the center are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Friday and Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The gallery is closed on Sundays.
