The program's goal is to help every child become a successful reader by the end of third grade.
Cedar Ridge, Eden Lake, Forest Hills, Prairie View elementary schools and the Early Childhood program have full-time and part-time positions available.
They include: Cedar Ridge, one part-time position; Eden Lake, one full-time position; Forest Hills, two part-time positions (plus an additional two part-time Math Corps positions); Prairie View, one full-time position, and Early Childhood, six part-time positions.
Qualifying to become a Reading Corps volunteer does not require a teaching background. Volunteers will receive a monthly stipend, an educational award, professional development opportunities and other eligible benefits.
