CORCORAN

MAY 12

Missing child. Police were called to a home in the 7800 block of Maple Hill Road regarding a missing child. According to police reports, the 5-year-old girl had run off 15 to 20 minutes earlier. An officer found the girl walking with some neighborhood children and returned her to her mother.

EXCELSIOR

APRIL 26

Drugs. Someone called police to report that a man was smoking a marijuana pipe behind the Licks Unlimited chocolate ice cream shop, 31 Water St. An officer located the man and found that he was not smoking marijuana: he was smoking a pipe with tobacco in it.

MAY 9

Theft. Someone stole approximately 100 pieces of firewood from a home in the 100 block of George Street.

GREENWOOD

MAY 20

Robbery. Officers responded to a report of a robbery at Lakeshore Market, 21380 Hwy. 7. According to police reports, two armed male suspects wearing masks entered the store and encountered a store employee who was also armed. The suspects fled and at least one of them was wounded. Officers located the wounded suspect in a residential area near the market, hiding behind some foliage. He was arrested and transported to the hospital.

MAPLE GROVE

MAY 14

Burglary. Police responded to a burglary reported at a home in the 12100 block of 62nd Avenue. Someone had broken in by throwing a rock through the kitchen window and made off with a camera, cash and jewelry.

INDEPENDENCE

MAY 16

Littering. Someone had thrown several garbage bags of trash and grass clippings along with a television on property in the 2000 block of County Line Road. Police discovered several receipts bearing the name of a Greenfield resident in the trash. Police contacted the 22-year-old man and advised him to pick up the trash or he would be cited. All the trash was picked up.

MEDINA

APRIL 30

Fire. A woman on the 4500 block of Bluebell Trail called to report seeing smoke in the swamp behind her home. The Hamel Fire Department was alerted and responded to the area to check it out. An officer determined she was seeing fog settle into the swamp.

MAY 6

Fire. A homeowner called to report that her house, in the 4700 block of Settlers Court, was filling up with smoke and that the exterior was on fire. Police arrived and extinguished the flames with a fire extinguisher. The fire was caused by landscape lights that had shorted out and caused mulch to catch on fire, authorities said. The homeowner unplugged the cord to the lights.

PLYMOUTH

MAY 19

Disorderly conduct. Officers were called to a disturbance at a school in the 10600 block of 36th Avenue N. According to police reports, an altercation occurred in the lunch line when one juvenile was using profanity and racial slurs and another juvenile slapped someone. Police cited a 17-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl for disorderly conduct.

SHOREWOOD

APRIL 28

Welfare check. Someone called police to report that there was a woman at Hwy. 7 and Hwy. 41 holding a sign that said "HOMELESS MOTHER OF 4." The caller wanted an officer to help the woman, but officers were unable to locate the woman.

MAY 2

Miscellaneous. A woman called police to report that her neighbor was blowing leaves at her husband at their home on the 20900 block of Ivy Lane. An officer spoke with both neighbors.
