CHASKA

WEEK OF FEB. 22

Traffic violation. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Hwy. 41 for speeding. The vehicle did not pull over and appeared to be trying to elude police, the officer said. The vehicle eventually stopped on Broadview Avenue and the male driver was taken into custody. According to police reports, the man said he was on his way to his grandmother's birthday party and couldn't find a place to pull over. Police released him after citing him for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and speeding.

Welfare check. Someone called police and requested they check on a neighbor. The caller said a woman was lying outside on her patio and was not moving. An officer found the woman and she was fine. She was just sunbathing.

CORCORAN

FEB. 28

Welfare check. An officer responded to a 911 hangup call from a home on the 7700 block of Corcoran Trail E. When dispatcher called the home back, a 10-year-old answered the phone and said there were eight kids in the house and no adults. An officer arrived at the home and found the parents were home and the children had been playing with the phone. The officer advised the children on how to use -- and not use -- the 911 system.

EDINA

MAR. 1

Theft. Two unidentified men reportedly stole $175 worth of cigarettes from Walgreens, 6975 York Av. S.

MAR. 12

Underage consumption. Someone called police to report seeing people inside a home that is temporarily vacant in the 6800 block of W. Shore Drive. Police arrested a 16-year-old girl, two 17-year-old boys, two 17-year-old girls, five 18-year-old Bloomington men and an 18-year-old Bloomington woman for underage consumption of alcohol.

MAPLE GROVE

MAR. 9

Theft. Someone stole an electric guitar pedal and $800 in cash from a vehicle parked in a lot in the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane.

Theft. A vehicle was stolen from the 6200 block of Eagle Lake Drive. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside the vehicle.

Theft. Police received a report that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle in the 6400 block of Evergreen Lane and had stolen a flashlight, a tire gauge, breath mints and change.

MINNEAPOLIS

FEB. 23

Robbery. A man called police to report a robbery on 29th and Russell avenue N. According to police reports, the victim was returning home from the store when he was approached by two males who demanded money. The victim hit one of the suspects with his bag of dog food. The other suspect hit the victim on the head with a handgun, causing a small cut. Both suspects fled with only a pack of the victim's cigarettes.

PLYMOUTH

FEB. 19

Weapons. Police found pellet guns in a vehicle on the 10600 block of 36th Avenue. Two 16-year-old boys admitted getting a 19-year-old to purchase the guns for them. Police said charges were pending.

FEB. 21

Drunken driving. Police observed a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway on 34th Avenue and Harbor Lane. The driver of the vehicle was asleep in the driver's seat. She told police she was in Brooklyn Park, and she failed field sobriety tests, police said. Her portable breath test result was .18 percent. The 31-year-old Plymouth woman was arrested for drunken driving.

FEB. 23

Disorderly conduct. A 16-year-old girl was cited for disorderly conduct at her school on the 4900 block of Peony Lane. While in the lunchroom, she walked up to another student and poured milk over her head, according to reports.

SHOREWOOD

FEB. 21

Drugs. Police stopped a vehicle for a window-tint violation at Eureka Road and Park Lane. An officer reported that the smell of marijuana was coming from the vehicle as he spoke with the occupants. A 17-year-old Shorewood boy and a 14-year-old Shorewood boy were arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and curfew violation. A 15-year-old Chanhassen boy was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and curfew violation.

TONKA BAY

FEB. 25

Welfare check. Someone called police to report that a woman was kneeling and crying on County Road 19. An officer located the woman, who said she was fine but was experiencing pain from dental work. She thanked the officer for checking.
