Traffic complaint. Someone called police to report debris in the road at County Road 10 and County Road 16. The caller said there were large bales of hay in the road. The owner of the hay bales removed them.

FEB. 16

Burglary. Police were called to a home on the 6300 block of Bluestem Road at 12:34 a.m. for a possible burglary. The caller reported hearing someone in the house and a vehicle outside. Officers secured the area and determined that a garage door leading to the house was unlocked. The homeowners were advised to change the locks and change the garage door code.

FEB. 22

Burglary. Someone broke into Bernatello's Pizza, 4640 W. 77th St., and stole a key, pizza, stamps, small plastic bags and other miscellaneous items.

FEB. 25

Theft. A woman called police regarding a theft in the 5200 block of W. 73rd Street. The woman told police she had loaned her vehicle to a friend and the friend had not returned it.

FEB. 26

Drugs. Someone reported suspicious activity on the 6500 block of France Avenue S. Police arrested an 18-year-old Osseo man for possession of drug paraphernalia and a 16-year-old boy for possession of marijuana.

INDEPENDENCE

FEB. 10

Assisting the public. Police responded to a call about a vehicle in a ditch in the 2800 block of County Road 92. The driver said he was talking on his phone when his coat caught on something and he lost control.

FEB. 11

Theft. Police responded to a theft reported at Olson's Market, 5249 Hwy. 12. A man had pumped $30 worth of gas and had driven away without paying. The man was found at a SuperAmerica station in Long Lake. According to police reports, the 36-year-old man, who was from Alexandria, said he was afraid to tell the clerk he did not have money, and the clerk wouldn't let him leave to meet his parents. His parents picked him up at Olson's Market and paid for the gas.

Tobacco violation. A 17-year-old boy was cited for possession of tobacco at Mound Westonka High School, 5905 Sunnyfield Road E.

PLYMOUTH

FEB. 12

Theft. A man who was staying at a hotel on the 200 block of Carlson Parkway called police to report a theft. He said he had propped his hotel room door open while he went to the front desk, and when he returned, his wallet was gone. The wallet was found near the vending machines, minus $300 in cash.

FEB. 13

Burglary. Someone broke through the front window of a home on the 13700 block of 54th Avenue N. and stole a television, stereos and jewelry. The estimated loss was $16,000.

FEB. 14

Medical. A woman called 911 to report a medical emergency in the 2000 block of Shenandoah Court. When police and an ambulance arrived, the 77-year-old woman admitted that she did not have a medical emergency. She was cited for obstructing the legal process.

Theft. Police were called to a parking lot in the 2700 block of Annapolis Lane regarding a theft. The victim had left the trunk of a vehicle open in the parking lot for five minutes and returned to find that a laptop was missing.

Medical. Police responded to a medical call at a home on the 8600 block of Hillside Avenue. A 5-year-old boy reportedly had swallowed a marble. He was checked by paramedics.
