WEEK OF FEB. 15

Disorderly conduct. Police were called to Chaska High School, 545 Pioneer Trail, because someone lit a firecracker in a hallway during school hours. One boy was cited for disorderly conduct, possession of fireworks and use of an ignition device. Another boy who supplied the firecracker was also cited, police said. Both boys were referred to juvenile court.

EDEN PRAIRIE

FEB. 5

Assault. Police received a report of a stabbing at a parking garage in the Shadow Green Apartments, 14255 Valley View Road. A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach in the garage, police said. He was treated and released at a hospital. According to police reports, the victim was approached by a man wearing sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt. Police have made one arrest but are still looking for information about the incident. Police believe this was an act of revenge and not a robbery attempt.

FEB. 6

Fire. The fire department responded to a call about a kitchen fire at a home in the 8000 block of Eden Road. A resident had been cooking with oil when a fire flared up on the stove, and when the resident tried to extinguish the fire with water, that caused it to flare up again.

Theft. Police were called to the Eden Prairie Liquor Store, 16508 W. 78th St., after someone stole 12 bottles of wine.

FEB. 9

Assault. Police responded to a report of an assault on the north side of Round Lake Park at 16691 Valley View Road. According to police reports, two men who were walking dogs on the trail were engaged in an altercation. One of the men was hospitalized with a concussion and facial fractures. The other man fled the scene. Police arrested a 45-year-old Mound man a week later and charged him with felony third-degree assault.

EXCELSIOR

FEB. 13

Drunken driving. An officer arrested a 51-year-old Excelsior woman for drunken driving on 2nd and Water streets. The officer observed the woman flashing her headlights at the vehicle in front of her and failing to signal a turn.

FEB. 14

Animal complaint. Someone called police to report what looked like a bobcat that had been hit on Hwy. 7 and Mill Street. An officer found a dead coyote at that site.

GREENWOOD

FEB. 10

Miscellaneous. A woman from an apartment complex in the 5200 block of Greenwood Circle called police to report that someone had packed snow all around her vehicle parked in the apartment complex lot. She was unable to move the vehicle and had to call a tow truck to get it out.

MEDINA

FEB. 11

Suspicious activity. Someone called police to report suspicious footprints around a house in the 1400 block of Baker Park Road. An officer spoke with the homeowner and the officer believed the prints were left by an animal.

MINNETRISTA

FEB. 8

Theft. A woman from a home on the 6500 block of Saunders Lake Drive called police to report a theft. She said someone used her credit card information to purchase 80 pounds of crawfish worth $534.

FEB. 13

Drunken driving. An officer stopped to assist a motorist. According to police reports, the driver sped off and was stopped on County Road 44 and apprehended for drunken driving. The vehicle had been stolen from St. Louis Park. The driver, a 22-year-old Oakdale woman, and the passenger, a 47-year-old Minneapolis man, were arrested for possession of stolen property, motor vehicle tampering, drunken driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, giving false information to police and having an open bottle in the car.
