Shots fired. A resident in the 23200 block of Strehler Road reported hearing five or six gunshots near their home. Officers found that the noise was fireworks.

Theft. A 2013 Honda Pilot was stolen from the 5800 block of Tingdale Avenue.
DEC. 29
Drugs. A 32-year-old St. Louis Park man was arrested for possession of hypodermic needles in the 6800 block of York Avenue S.
DEC. 30
Drunken driving. A 79-year-old Edina man was arrested for drunken driving, having an open bottle and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at Ridgeview Drive and Valley Lane.
JAN. 3
Theft. Two 16-year-old boys were arrested for theft after stealing a 2013 BMW 535, valued at $60,000, from the 5700 block of Hansen Road.

DEC. 28
Drugs. A Minnetonka woman, 23, and a Savage man, 22, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop for speeding at Hwy. 7 and Old Market Road.

DEC. 19
Drugs. An officer found a car parked with its lights on at 3 a.m. The occupant, an 18-year-old man, was cited for possession of marijuana.
DEC. 21
Theft. A snowblower was stolen from a garage in the 9200 block of Archer Lane. The garage door had been left open.
DEC. 25
Animal complaint. Officers responded to a report of three dogs locked inside a vehicle at a parking lot in the 16000 block of 92nd Avenue. The owner was advised of the city ordinance.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 8200 block of Yellowstone Lane reported that someone was trying to get into a neighbor's home. Officers located the suspect, who was watching a pet while the homeowners were out of town.

Found. A person found a box of items outdoors and turned it in to the police. It was discovered that the owner had intended the box to be picked up as a donation.
RICHFIELD
JAN. 12
Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at an apartment in the 7600 block of Penn Avenue S. A 28-year-old Richfield man was combative with officers and arrested for obstructing the legal process with force.
Theft. Medication was stolen from the Richfield Health Center, 7727 Portland Av. S.

Drugs. A 33-year-old Bagley, Minn., woman and a 38-year-old North Branch man were arrested on warrants and possession of narcotics at Motel 6, 7640 Cedar Av. S.
JAN. 17
Assault. A 37-year-old woman was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon at AmericInn, 1200 E. 77th St.
SHOREWOOD
DEC. 23
Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle going up and down the road at Hwy. 7 and Christmas Lake Road. It was an Uber driver trying to locate an address.
DEC. 27
Civil matter. Officers mediated a situation involving a mother taking away her son's laptop computer at a home on Smithtown Road.
