Theft. A 17-year-old boy was arrested for theft after stealing a 2007 Toyota Matrix, valued at $10,000, from the parking lot at Southdale Center.

Assault. A 51-year-old Edina woman was arrested for assault in the 7400 block of West Shore Drive.

Drunken driving. An 18-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic accident in the 7600 block of Parklawn Avenue.

Assault. A 48-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for assault following a road rage incident at 66th Street and York Avenue.

DEC. 26

Theft. A 39-year-old Eden Prairie woman was arrested for possession of stolen property and giving false information to police following a traffic stop in the 6700 block of York Avenue S.

Welfare check. A person called police to ask them to check on a resident in the 3500 block of Lake Haughey Road who wasn't answering the phone. Officers found that the resident was vacuuming and didn't hear the phone.

MEDINA

DEC. 14

Property damage. A resident in the 800 block of Navajo Road reported that his Christmas lights had been cut on each of the previous three days.

DEC. 19

Check welfare. Officers responded to a report of three children left in a vehicle for more than 10 minutes in the 300 block of Clydesdale Trail. Their mother, found in her home, said the vehicle was locked and that her 8-year-old son was watching the other two. She told officers that she understood why someone would have been concerned.

Theft. Prescription medication was stolen from a home on West Branch Road.

DEC. 24

Drunken driving. A 23-year-old Mound man was arrested for drunken driving after his vehicle was found in a ditch along County Road 15.

PLYMOUTH

DEC. 25

Theft. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 16100 block of 55th Avenue. A resident noticed the items missing after having guests over.

DEC. 28

Drugs. Two 16-year-old girls were cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after their vehicle was reported outside a business complex in the 17400 block of Medina Road.

Theft. Narcotics were stolen from the Richfield Health Center, 7727 Portland Av. S.

JAN. 5

Theft. A 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser was stolen from an apartment parking lot in the 6300 block of Pleasant Avenue S. The vehicle had been left running and unattended for 50 minutes.

JAN. 6

Drugs. Officers responded to Motel 6, 7640 Cedar Av. S., regarding a heroin overdose. A 22-year-old woman was arrested for possession of narcotics and her boyfriend, who had overdosed on heroin, was taken to the hospital.

JAN. 8

Theft. An 18-year-old Minneapolis man and a juvenile male were arrested for possession of stolen property and fleeing police after an officer observed a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of W. 65th Street.

JAN. 11

Disorderly conduct. A 58-year-old Richfield man and a 51-year-old West St. Paul woman were cited for disorderly conduct at an apartment in the 7700 block of Chicago Avenue S. after officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Both were taken to the hospital due to intoxication.
