Suspicious vehicle. A resident in the 19600 block of 63rd Avenue reported a sports-utility vehicle parked at the end of the driveway for about 10 minutes. The caller was told that the vehicle was a squad car trying to locate a vehicle from a previous call.

DEC. 19

Civil. An officer responded to a civil matter at a home in the 7800 block of Maple Hill Road. The officer found that the caller's 12-year-old grandson had purchased $650 worth of merchandise online with his grandparent's credit card. The officer discussed the theft with the boy, and the caller was able to return most of the merchandise.

MAPLE GROVE

DEC. 11

Animal complaint. A person reported that a potbelly pig was running loose in the 7600 block of Orchid Lane. Officers found that the caller had captured the pig, which was taken to an animal facility.

DEC. 17

Medical. A woman reported that she had slammed a car door on her finger in the 13700 block of Grove Drive. An officer applied gauze to the finger, and she was taken to the hospital.

MAPLE PLAIN

DEC. 16

Check welfare. Officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of Rainbow Avenue regarding a 911 hang-up call. It was discovered that a child had been playing with the phone.

DEC. 18

Public intoxication. Officers responded to the 5000 block of Main Street regarding an intoxicated man walking down the street. Officers found the 23-year-old man inside a vehicle, and he was taken to a detox facility.

EDINA

DEC. 14

Drugs. A 36-year-old Edina man was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Parklawn Avenue.

JAN. 4

Animal complaint. A person called police to report that their neighbor's dog had defecated in their yard in the 1200 block of Oxford Street.

PLYMOUTH

DEC. 23

Burglary. Tools valued at $5,000 were stolen from a home under construction in the 15500 block of 53rd Avenue.

RICHFIELD

DEC. 24

Stalking. Officers responded to a harassment complaint at a home in the 6900 block of Knox Avenue S. A 37-year-old Hopkins man was later arrested for stalking.

DEC. 26

Assault. Officers responded to a report of a possible assault at W. 70th Street and Logan Avenue S. A 26-year-old Richfield man was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon.

Drunken driving. A 56-year-old Richfield woman was arrested for drunken driving, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and failure to obey a traffic control device after an officer saw her run a red light.

SHOREWOOD

DEC. 11

Suspicious activity. A woman reported that her attic access panel was cracked open at her home on Island View Road. Officers checked the attic and found no one there.

DEC. 14

Theft. A man reported to police that $1,500 and two Rolex watches had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle at Hwy. 7 and Oak Street.
