Weapons. A 71-year-old man on 3rd Avenue accidentally shot himself in the hand while loading his shotgun. He was taken to the hospital.

NOV. 14

Hunting complaint. A person in the 900 block of County Road 92 reported that someone was shooting near the Luce Line State Trail. Officers spoke with a homeowner who was target shooting on his property.

MAPLE GROVE

NOV. 13

Theft. A laptop was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 6500 block of Balsam Lane.

NOV. 17

Animal complaint. Officers responded to the 10000 block of Pilgrim Way regarding a dog at large. The owner, who had been previously warned, received a citation.

MAPLE PLAIN

NOV. 14

Check welfare. Officers responded to McGarry's Pub, 5189 Main St., on a report of a man who had taken a fall. The 30-year-old man, who had biked to the restaurant, fell backward off his bar stool and hit his head. Tests showed he had a blood alcohol level of .30 percent. He was taken home and left in the care of his family.

Check welfare. Officers went to an apartment parking lot in the 5200 block of Manchester Drive on a report of a child crying in the back seat of a locked vehicle. They located the mother in an apartment. The case is under investigation.

NOV. 18

Check welfare. Officers responded to Orono Discovery Center, 5050 Independence St., regarding a 911 hang-up call. They discovered that a child was playing with the phone.

MEDINA

NOV. 21

Parking complaint. A woman in the 200 block of Lythrum Lane called to say that six vehicles parked in front of her home had received parking citations and that she wasn't aware of a parking ordinance. An officer advised her that all six vehicles had received previous warnings.

PLYMOUTH

NOV. 19

Property damage. Tires on a vehicle were slashed in the 9900 block of 45th Avenue.

NOV. 22

Controlled substance. A 16-year-old boy was cited for possession of alcohol, and another 16-year-old boy for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, following a traffic stop at Hwy. 55 and Peony Lane.

NOV. 23

Theft. A handgun was stolen from a home on the 14800 block of 40th Avenue. There were no signs of forced entry.

RICHFIELD

NOV. 14

Property damage. A gas pump nozzle was damaged at BP, 7544 Lyndale Av. S., after someone drove off and forgot to take it out of the vehicle after using it.

NOV. 15

Theft. A 2004 Buick LeSabre was stolen from the 7200 block of Upton Avenue S.

Drugs. Officers responded to a disturbance in the 6500 block of Nicollet Avenue S. and asked three males to leave. A 24-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, refusing to leave and obstructing an investigation.
