Runaway: An officer responded to a home in the 6300 block of Pioneer Trail regarding a 10-year-old girl who had run away from home. An officer arrived and found the child was on the property in an apple tree. The girl was upset with her mother. The girl calmed down after the officer spoke with her.

SEPT. 3

Suspicious person: A male was reported standing in a yard in the 20200 block of Hillside Drive at 3:27 a.m. Officers discovered it was the homeowner's son and two friends working on a trailer/camper. Everything was fine.

EDINA

AUG. 31

Drugs: Two boys, 16, were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Inglewood Avenue.

EXCELSIOR

AUG. 29

Noise complaint: Officers responded to Commons Park regarding a complaint of loud music. Officers found an exercise class taking place.

AUG. 31

Property damage: Someone poured bleach on newly installed carpet in an apartment complex on 3rd Avenue.

SEPT. 1

Trespassing: A resident on Lake Street reported an unknown male in their basement closet. Officers learned that the male was let into the house by the resident's two granddaughters.

INDEPENDENCE

AUG. 27

Suspicious person: A woman reported an unknown male writing on a notepad on her property in the 3600 block of County Road 90. Officers located the male, who was a Hennepin County assessor.

Traffic complaint: Officers responded to the 1000 block of Polo Club Road regarding an ATV and mini dirt bike being driven on a city road. Officers located a 13-year-old boy and advised him that he could not ride on the road.

Fire: A grass fire was reported on County Roads 92 and 11. Officers found a homeowner burning brush.

AUG. 25

Disorderly conduct: A New Hope woman, 42, was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 13700 block of Grove Drive N.

AUG. 29

Animal complaint: Someone reported a dog was left in a vehicle with an outside temperature of 95 degrees on the 11000 block of Main Street. A 27-year-old male was issued a citation.

RICHFIELD

AUG. 29

Drunken driving. A Richfield woman, 41, was arrested for drunken driving after officers responded to a disturbance at her home on the 7500 block of Washburn Avenue S.

AUG. 31

Drugs: A Minneapolis woman, 40, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, drunken driving, driving after revocation and possession of a firearm by a felon following a traffic stop at 12th Avenue S. and 77th Street E.

SHOREWOOD

AUG. 28

Theft: Two pairs of ballroom dancing shoes were stolen from a vehicle at Excelsior Boulevard and Barrington Way.
