Theft. Sports equipment, valued at $1,420, was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 5800 block of Abbott Avenue.

JULY 1

Theft. Eight Illinois men were arrested on suspicion of stealing $28,342 worth of purses from Louis Vuitton in the Galleria.

JULY 2

Drugs. A 35-year-old Richfield man was arrested in possession of hypodermic needles and loitering on the 4400 block of Vandervork Avenue.

Theft. A kayak was stolen from Hwy. 5 and Market Boulevard.

Drunk problem. An apparently intoxicated woman reported to police that she and her sister had been waiting for over an hour for a taxi to come to Inn Kahoots, 45 Hamel Road. An officer requested that an employee call another cab company. A cab arrived a short time later.

JUNE 27

Animal complaint. A homeowner reported four raccoons would not leave their yard on the 6400 block of Hillstrom Road. Officers were unable to locate three of the raccoons and the homeowner's dog disposed of one raccoon.

JUNE 24

Animal complaint. A woman reported ducklings were in a pool on the 600 block of Shawnee Woods Road. The woman and her friend got the ducklings out of the pool and didn't need any further assistance by the time the officer arrived.

JUNE 28

Assist public. A man called police to inquire if he could cross Hwy. 55 at County Road 101 because the traffic lights were out. He was informed he could but advised to be careful.

JULY 10

Assault. Three victims suffered gunshot wounds from an unknown suspect on 77th Street W. and Nicollet Avenue S.

JULY 12

Burglary. Two different reports were received of items stolen from hotel rooms at Four Points by Sheraton, 7745 Lyndale Av. S.

Theft. A wallet was stolen from a woman's purse that was hanging on the back of her chair at Don Pablo's, 980 78th St. W. The victim was injured after confronting the female suspects who were fleeing in a vehicle.

JULY 13

Stolen property. A 19-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property after officers observed him leaving between two houses on the 7600 block of Grand Avenue S. He allegedly was in possession of a stolen bicycle and cellphone.

Burglary. A computer was stolen from a home on the 7000 block of 13th Avenue S. Access was gained through an unlocked window.

Drugs. A 23-year-old Richfield man was arrested in possession of cocaine following a disturbance at a home on the 6900 block of 12th Avenue S.

JUNE 27

Underage consumption. Multiple juveniles were cited for underage consumption after officers responded to a suspicious activity report on the 10400 block of County Road 24.
