MARCH 5

Missing child: A parent reported that their 10-year-old daughter had run away from their home on 6300 block of Pioneer Trail. After a brief search, the girl was found hiding under a bed.

DEEPHAVEN

MARCH 5

Drugs: A 22-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license following a traffic stop at Hwy. 7 and Vine Hill Road.

EDINA

FEB. 27

Burglary: Tools valued at $10,000 were stolen from a construction site in the 5900 block of Beard Avenue S.

MARCH 2

Drugs: An 18-year-old Eden Prairie man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and syringe following a traffic stop on Hwy. 62 and Tracy Avenue.

MARCH 3

Underage consumption: An 18-year-old Edina woman was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol in the 6700 block of Valley View Road.

Theft: A guitar valued at $1,700 was stolen from Guitar Center, 3650 Hazelton Rd.

EXCELSIOR

MARCH 15

Suspicious activity: Officers responded to Water Street and Academy Avenue regarding two juvenile males with flashlights. The two boys were geocaching.

Disturbance: Officers responded to Lake Street and Water Street regarding a domestic disturbance. A young couple with a child had gotten into an argument while in Haskell's liquor store, 1 Water St. A 25-year-old Excelsior man was cited for helping a person underage consume alcohol and a 20-year-old Plymouth woman was cited for underage consumption, possessing a fraudulent ID and purchasing liquor underage.

MARCH 18

Drugs: A 24-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for possession of cocaine near Water Street and Third Street. A 21-year-old Bloomington man was cited for driving without insurance and driving after revocation.

HOPKINS

MARCH 5

Animal complaint: A resident called police to report a squirrel in a chimney in the 300 block of Sweet Briar Lane.

INDEPENDENCE

FEB. 28

Suspicious vehicle: A resident of the 3900 block of County Road 90 reported a running vehicle in their driveway with an out-of-state license plate. The resident phoned back and said everything was OK. It was a family member.

MAPLE GROVE

MARCH 2

Fire: Officers responded to the 8100 block of Wedgewood Lane regarding smoke inside a parked vehicle. It was a coffee mug filled with cigarette butts that had started smoldering.

MEDINA

FEB. 23

Suspicious activity: A woman called to report hearing a loud bang from the back yard of her home in the 4000 block of Shorewood Trail. Officers found the screen door to the back porch swinging in the wind.

MARCH 5

Assist public: Officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Jubert Trail regarding a vehicle lockout. A vehicle was running inside a garage with two children inside. The officer was able to unlock the vehicle.
