AUG. 6

Burglary. A 23-year-old Edina man was arrested for burglary, fraud, possession of stolen property and giving officers a false name, in the 6500 block of France Avenue S.

AUG. 8

Drunken driving. A 37-year-old Edina man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 7100 block of York Avenue S.

INDEPENDENCE

AUG. 7

Fire. A resident from the 2700 block of Independence Road reported seeing smoke coming from her deck. An officer determined that it was steam rising from the deck as sunlight hit it.

AUG. 11

Drunken driving. A 16-year-old Loretto girl was cited for underage drunken driving, speeding, curfew violation, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, at County Road 11 and Lake Sarah Road. Stopped for going 73 miles per hour, she told officers that she was trying to get home because she was out past curfew. She was released to her mother.

AUG. 13

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of a hammock in the middle of an alfalfa field in the 2200 block of County Line Road. They found the hammock but nothing else. It was thought that it may have been used to watch the previous night's meteor shower.

MEDINA

AUG. 11

Suspicious vehicle. A resident from the 4600 block of Foxberry Drive reported a suspicious vehicle by her home. The vehicle was a squad car driven by an officer who was taking a call.

RICHFIELD

AUG. 5

Robbery. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of E. 78th Street. A 45-year-old Richfield woman was arrested for robbery after stealing a $100 bill from a man.

AUG. 6

Driving violations. A 41-year-old Richfield man was arrested for driving a motorcycle without a license and after revocation in the 7500 block of Nicollet Avenue S. He was arrested again the next day for driving after revocation and having no proof of insurance. A 38-year-old woman also was arrested for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle.

AUG. 19

Burglary. Officers responded to a report of an animal at large in a home in the 7400 block of Oakland Avenue S. They found that a 31-year-old man had broken into his ex-wife's house, and arrested him for burglary and violating an order of protection.

SHOREWOOD

AUG. 10

Alcohol violation. A 19-year-old Excelsior woman was cited for using fake identification to purchase alcohol on County Road 19.

AUG. 12

Drugs. A 21-year-old Chanhassen man was cited for possession of marijuana at Mill Street and Lilac Lane.

AUG. 16

Alcohol violation. Officers responded to a noise complaint on Regents Walk and cited numerous individuals for underage consumption of alcohol.

VICTORIA

AUG. 11

Underage consumption. A man and a woman, both 20, were cited for underage consumption at 81st Street and Trillium Circle.

WATERTOWN

AUG. 16

Theft. Two 18-year-old women were cited for tampering with a motor vehicle in the 300 block of Verbena Drive.
