Assault. A 60-year-old St. Paul man was arrested for assault, possession of a firearm and controlled substance in the 7800 block of Maple Hill Road.

AUG. 25

Drugs. A 33-year-old Rockford man was arrested for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and drug paraphernalia at County Road 50 and Corcoran Trail E.

EDINA

AUG. 21

Drugs. A 29-year-old Minneapolis man and a 31-year-old Burnsville woman were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and prescription forgery at Walgreens, 6975 York Av. S.

AUG. 22

Drugs. A 21-year-old Edina woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at France Avenue and W. 66th Street.

AUG. 26

Drunken driving. A 52-year-old Bloomington woman was arrested for drunken

driving after she was involved in a traffic accident in the 7500 block of France Avenue S.

EXCELSIOR

AUG. 18

Theft. A purse was stolen from a home in the 500 block of 2nd Street.

INDEPENDENCE

AUG. 23

Drunken driving. Officers found a vehicle stopped in the driveway of the police department, in the 1900 block of County Road 90. The driver, a 24-year-old Delano man, admitted that he had too much to drink. He was arrested for drunken driving and released to relatives.

MAPLE GROVE

AUG. 19

Animal complaint. Officers responded to a report of chocolate, which can be toxic for dogs, left on the ground in the 13000 block of 96th Place. There were no suspects.

AUG. 20

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of a handcuffed child in the back seat of a vehicle at 89th Avenue and Elm Creek Boulevard. They found that the handcuffs were toys.

AUG. 21

Medical. An officer responded to a report of a seat belt wrapped around a child's neck in a vehicle at Fountains Drive and Fountains Way. The officer cut the seat belt and the child was found to be uninjured.

MEDINA

AUG. 27

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of an occupied vehicle parked on a dead end road early in the morning hours at Shawnee Road and Fairway Drive. The driver said that he and his passenger were watching the stars.

MINNETRISTA

AUG. 23

Animal complaint. An officer helped corral donkeys along Kingswood Road.

AUG. 25

Suspicious vehicle. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Hillside Avenue and found three

people asleep inside. An officer took home a juvenile female who was out after curfew, and the other two left the area.

Drunken driving. A 56-year-old Wayzata man was arrested for drunken driving after he was stopped for crossing over the centerline on County Road 110.

RICHFIELD

AUG. 24

Theft. A gun was stolen from a vehicle in the 6400 block of Irving Avenue S.

AUG. 26

Drugs. A 51-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of narcotics after he was involved in a vehicle accident in the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue S.
