Theft. A 16-year-old boy was arrested for theft and possession of marijuana after he was caught shoplifting at Macy's in Southdale Center.

Theft. A stroller valued at $400 was stolen from the 5800 block of St. Johns Avenue.

INDEPENDENCE

OCT. 30

Traffic violation. Officers stopped a vehicle going 70 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. The driver, a 35-year-old Rockford woman, was upset and said she was going to be late to church because she was pulled over. She was cited for speeding and verbally warned about not having proof of insurance.

NOV. 5

Property damage. A 24-year-old Edina man was arrested for property damage and disorderly conduct after he threw a rock and pumpkin at two vehicles at County Road 11 and Ihduhapi Road.

MAPLE PLAIN

NOV. 4

Minor consumption. A woman from the 5200 block of Bryantwood Drive reported she was unable to wake her son, who was asleep in a vehicle parked outside in the early morning hours. The 17-year-old boy woke up and told officers he was just "chill'n" in his car. He admitted to drinking, and a preliminary breath test showed 0.08 percent blood alcohol concentration. He was cited for minor consumption of alcohol and possession of alcohol under the age of 21.

NOV. 4

Animal complaint. A resident from the 2400 block of Keller Road reported a dead rabbit on their home. It appeared that an animal had been chewing on it.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 900 block of Medina Road reported coming home to find a contractor inside her home with no clothes on.

Theft. TVs valued at $12,900 were stolen from a building in the 2900 block of Empire Lane.

OCT. 30

Curfew violation. Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 15700 block of 50th Place. Two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were cited for curfew violation.

OCT. 31

Theft. A woman left her purse in a shopping cart at Cub Foods, 4445 Nathan Lane. When she returned for the purse, it was gone.

Drugs. A 54-year-old St. Paul man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at County Road 6 and Hwy. 55.

Assault. Officers responded to a report of an assault at Menards, 7701 Nicollet Av. S. A 53-year-old man was arrested.

OCT. 29

Drunken driving. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 77th Street W. and Vincent Avenue S. A 31-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for drunken driving.

Robbery. A male reported being assaulted by three individuals and robbed of $150 in the 2800 block of 66th Street W.

NOV. 1

Prostitution. Officers responded to a report of criminal damage to property in the 7600 block of 17th Avenue S. Officers located several parties and determined that they were soliciting for prostitutes. A 32-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for prostitution.

SHOREWOOD

NOV. 1

Theft. A 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from a driveway on Smithtown Road. The vehicle had been unlocked and the keys left inside.
