Theft. A statue valued at $25,000 was stolen from the 7400 block of France Avenue S.

JUNE 17

Drugs. A 28-year-old Edina man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drunken driving at Crosstown Hwy. 62 and Gleason Road.

INDEPENDENCE

JUNE 12

Suspicious vehicle. A resident in the 7800 block of Hwy. 12 reported a suspicious vehicle parked on their property. Officers discovered that the vehicle belonged to a cousin of the resident, who had parked it there while running errands with a friend.

Lost dog. A resident in the 4500 block of Shady Beach Circle reported that the dog they were caring for had taken off while playing in the yard. A short time later the resident reported that the dog had been found at the pet's own home three blocks away.

JUNE 17

Shots fired. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Golf Walk. They located a parked truck that had a flat trailer tire and determined that the blow out was the cause of the noise reported.

JUNE 20

Animal complaint. A resident in the 9200 block of County Road 11 reported seeing a possible cougar or jaguar. Officers contacted the state Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife Division, which ruled out both types of animal and was given the resident's number for more information.

MEDINA

JUNE 14

Child found. Officers responded to a report of an unknown 2-year-old boy, wearing only a T-shirt and diaper, ringing the doorbell at a home in the 1000 block of Jubert Trail. They canvassed the neighborhood looking for the boy's parents, who arrived and took the toddler home.

JUNE 18

Suspicious activity. An officer spotted a suspicious vehicle after hours in Holy Name Park, at County Road 24 and Hunter Drive. The vehicle was occupied by two individuals who did not appear to be wearing anything. The officer waited at his squad car for a considerable time while the individuals got dressed, and then cited a 20-year-old Medina man for possession of marijuana.

PLYMOUTH

JUNE 20

Drugs. A 19-year-old Minnetonka woman was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Rockford Road and Zachary Lane.

RICHFIELD

JUNE 14

Theft. A resident reported that a pair of tennis shoes valued at $1,000 were stolen from a home in the 7700 block of Bloomington Avenue S.

JUNE 16

Drugs. Officers responded to a home in the 6800 block of Washburn Avenue S. to check the welfare of an individual, and arrested a 46-year-old Richfield man for possession of methamphetamine.

JUNE 20

Drugs. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 7400 block of Pillsbury Avenue S. They determined that the vehicle was stolen and found a large amount of methamphetamines inside it. A 26-year-old White Bear Lake man and a 33-year-old Eden Prairie woman were arrested for possession of stolen property and methamphetamine.

Trespass. A 41-year-old Richfield woman was cited for trespassing after it was discovered she was illegally staying in a vacant garage in the 6800 block of Upton Avenue S.
