Concert band to mark its 30th anniversary
The Hopkins Westwind Concert Band will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet in Hopkins.
Conductor emeritus Don Bates will take the podium for several pieces, and then interim conductor Scott Kosloski will take over.
The Westwind Big Band will entertain before the concert.

Senior program plans 'Evening in Paradise'
The St. Louis Park Senior Program and Parktacular 2013 will sponsor "An Evening in Paradise" Thursday, June 13, at the Marriott Minneapolis West, 9960 Wayzata Blvd.
The event begins with registration and a social hour at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be at 5:30, followed by music and dancing with the Cyril Paul Calypso Monarchs. A door prize drawing will be held at 7:45 p.m.

Nonprofit hosts 5K run/walk fundraiser
Blair's Tree of Hope Foundation is hosting its second annual 5K run/walk event on Sunday, June 23, to support the organization.
