Condos underway for Bay Center projectThe redevelopment of the former Wayzata Bay Center will now officially include luxury condos.
The "Regatta" will be located above the street of the Plaza Block, part of a mixed-use plan for The Promenade of Wayzata with retail. BohLand Development expects to break ground on the project next summer, with an opening planned for late 2014 or early 2015. The Wayzata-based company will start selling condos in January.
"The advent of the lakefront initiative by the City of Wayzata makes this community poised to become one of the most exciting places in the metropolitan area to live," Steve Bohl, owner of BohLand Development, said in a statement.

Shoe designer to visit SouthdaleShoe designer Donald Pliner is scheduled to make a public appearance at the Herberger's Southdale location on Saturday, Nov. 3.
He'll help customers select shoes from his latest collection between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day. Customers will receive 25 percent off his shoes and may pre-select items now.

Grand opening for senior residenceTowerLight on Wooddale Avenue, a senior rental community, is holding a grand opening from 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Information about the residences and snacks will be available for visitors.
TowerLight offers apartments for independent living and assisted living. It also has a memory care unit and suites for rehabilitative care. It's located at 3601 Wooddale Av. S.
