California is still in the midst of an extended dry period that began duringthe later days of October. In November, there was a little rain (and snow inthe mountains) but what fell was hardly a drop in the bucket compared to whatnormally occurs. As of this time the dry pattern continues, but there are definite signs it willbreak next week. Beginning Monday, the Pacific storm conveyor will probablystart hurtling some pretty wet storms into California and the rest of theSouthwest.
