West Coast Brief Break

After days and days of heavy rain and mountain snow, the southern half ofthe West Coast will enjoy another pleasant, dry day Friday.Christmas Eve will feature near-normal temperatures and partly sunny skiesfrom north-central California southbound. Farther north, a storm system willstart to spread some rain into coastal areas of Washington state and Oregon byafternoon. Any snow that falls on Friday will be generally light in the higherelevations.

After a well-needed break Thursday into Friday, the weekend will feature yetanother storm with heavy coastal rain and mountain snow. This storm, however,will be much quicker and move through most of the state of California within 24hours.
