Arts center hosts holiday gift saleThe Minnetonka Center for the Arts holiday gift sale is going on through Dec. 22.
A juried collection of handmade arts and crafts has been selected for character and value, including pottery, glass, fiber, wood, photos, paintings, sculpture and jewelry. More than 120 artists are participating.
The arts center at 2240 North Shore Drive in Wayzata is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and until 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
The arts center also has a satellite center open at the Ridgedale Mall, on the second level next to Sears, through Dec. 23. Hours are 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 12-6 p.m. on Sundays.
MINNEAPOLIS
MacPhail spotlights romantic composersThe MacPhail Center for Music will present "Romantics: String Sextets of Brahms and Tchaikovsky" at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at its Antonello Hall, 501 S. Second St. in Minneapolis.
It will feature Elizabeth Ericksen and Alison Fahy on violin, Stella Anderson and Margaret Haviland on viola, and Andrea French and Daniel McIntosh on cello.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and youth.
