Colton, 5, and Ellie, 2, ran into the arms of their father, Specialist Jordan Schuler of St. Cloud, after he returned Tuesday from an 11-month deployment to Afghanistan, along with 85 other soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard's Litchfield-based 849th Mobility Augmentation Company. The unit cleared explosives from supply routes and helped establish a voter polling site for this year's presidential elections. See more photos at startribune.com.
