After a short bout of thunderstorms and steamy air, the leading edge of cooler,drier air will press southeastward into the Great Lakes by Thursday.Afternoon temperatures across the Great Lakes will drop back into the 70s and80s, but the humidity will be much lower, making for a more comfortableafternoon.
Slightly cooler and drier air will reach the Northeast by Friday with sunshineprevailing into the start of the weekend.
