Weekly wine deal: $11 Bordeaux

A beautiful white Bordeaux shows off two grapes' natural affinity.

It's a season of weddings, and few entities are as "made for each other" as the sauvignon blanc and semillon grapes in the fantabulous blend from Chateau Laulerie Montravel. The semillon adds depth and oomph to the sauv blanc's citrus crispness in this 50-50 admixture. If there's another $11 wine with a longer, cleaner finish, I'd love to find it. Perfect for the patio, a picnic or even, yes, a wedding party.
