A festival celebrates Ely

Snow sculpting, dog sled rides and other activities are highlighted in the Ely Winter Festival through Sunday in Ely. The annual event celebrates the history and culture of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and features tours of the Dorothy Molter Museum, programs at the International Wolf Center, music concerts, and a dinner and ball (1-800-777-7281; 1-218-365-6123).
