WESTERN SCULPTURE PARK FESTIVAL

Nothing says a party like a piñata. Guests are invited to tap the hanging object until prizes fall out. Also face painting, live music, art-making activities and food trucks. Open Eye Figure Theatre performs "Molly and the Magic Boot." Music provided by Nicholas Carter, Narrow Vines and Heatherlyn. (Noon-5 p.m. Sat. Free. Western Sculpture Park, on Marion Avenue between Interstate 94 and W. University Avenue, St. Paul. 651-290-0921. www.publicartstpaul.org.)

NORDIC MUSIC FESTIVAL

Twirl a time or two with a variety of folk music groups. Performers include Kardemimmit, the Blue and the Blonde and Nordic Spelman. It may sound unappetizing, but adventurous types may get a kick out of the lutefisk toss. Crafters will have Nordic-themed gifts for sale. (10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat. Free. Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, 6900 Hazeltine Blvd., Excelsior. www.nordicheritageclub.com.)
