MACY'S FLOWER SHOW

"The Painted Garden" is the theme for this year's explosion of colors and textures in the eighth-floor auditorium. Features a Bouquet of the Day by top designers, displays of tropical gardens and more. The floral wonderland is inspired by the Middle Asian region, most notably India. The gardens feature jewel tones and spice market colors as well as a 10-foot-tall painted elephant. (Open during store hours. Free. Macy's Minneapolis, 700 Nicollet Mall, Mpls. 612-375-2200.)

EASTER EGG HUNT

Bring your own basket to find hidden treats on the lawn of the James J. Hill House. Get a tour of the home, hear stories and enjoy a small snack. Reservations recommended. (10 a.m. Sat. $6. James J. Hill House, 240 Summit Av., St. Paul. 651-297-2555. www.mnhs.org.)
