Como Happenings

All facets of Como Park will be bustling for a weekend packed with activities for families. Como Park Zoo hosts a Party for the Planet. Learn how to live a greener lifestyle at this Earth Day celebration. Special activities and exhibits are focused on ways to save money and energy. Guests, of course, can also visit animals that make the zoo home, including polar bears, gorillas and other species. Fragrant flora are in bloom at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. The Spring Flower Show is home to blooms such as hydrangea Arizona, as well as tulips, hyacinths, Asiatic lilies and others. Finally, it's opening weekend for Como Town. This year the miniature amusement park celebrates its 10th season. Among the more than 18 rides is the newest, the Soaring Eagle Zip Ride, which from 85 feet in the air offers a panoramic view of Como Town, the zoo and the park.
