Weekend options: Boo-ology, Anoka Halloween

BOO-OLOGY

Head to the Science Museum of Minnesota for some hair-raising activities with a Halloween spin. Kids who arrive in costume will get free admission to the permanent exhibit galleries. Participate in hands-on spooky science activities. Meet Kitchen Pantry scientist Liz Heinecke and watch her demonstrate experiments that can be done with items found in kitchen cupboards. ANOKA HALLOWEEN

Look no further for a ghoulishly good time than Anoka for Halloween fun. At what is called "Halloween Capital of the World," weekend events include a two-night block party featuring music by Good for Gary and the Johnny Holm Band. Take the family out for an old-fashioned scare at the Anoka Haunted House. Other events include a Spooktacular carnival, parade and more.
