Weekend family options: Civil War Family Day, Pan-o-Prog

CIVIL WAR FAMILY DAY

Get a little Minnesota history and learn how Minnesota was the first state to volunteer men to fight in the Union Army. Visit the governor's reception room and learn about Civil War battles and the soldiers who fought them. See Civil War flags and take a scavenger hunt. (10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sat. $5. State Capitol, 75 W. PAN-O-PROG

Lakeville celebrates summer with a wide variety of activities. World War II aircraft and military vehicles will be on display at Airlake Airport. Tiny tots even get in on the fun with a baby crawl-a-thon and a kids' pedal tractor pull. Cribbage, euchre and bowling tournaments, puppet show and other entertainment.
