Weekend family fun: Celebrating the Carpathian region

Carpathian Celebration

Ethnic Dance Theatre and the Landmark Center honor the seven cultures of the Carpathian region of Central and Eastern Europe with a daylong celebration. Enjoy pastries and warm beverages from Hungary, Ukraine, Serbia and other countries at "Cafe Carpathia." Traditional dances will be performed by Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, the Dolina Polish Dancers and Videki Hungarian Dance Ensemble. A children's area hosts crafts and games reflecting each country's traditions. Listen to folk tales narrated in their original languages as well as travelogue seminars.
