Fall walk

Interstate State Park, 10-11 a.m. Saturday

 

Join a naturalist to discover the inside tips and tricks that animals use to get ready for the coming colder season. The program includes an easy 1-mile trail. Meet at the park office. (651-465-5711, mndnr.gov)

Seed-collecting

Frontenac State Park, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday

 

Help restore the park’s ­prairie by collecting seeds from native plants. The seeds will be processed and replanted in the park to restore prairies. Also learn how past seed collections have created some beautiful areas in the park. Arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. but plan on a minimum of two hours for seed collection. Bird-banding

Lowry Nature Center, 9 a.m. — noon Saturday

Adaptive sports

French Regional Park, 1-4 p.m. Sunday

 

It is Adaptive Recreation Demo Day. Try adaptive mountain bikes, kayaks, archery equipment and geocaching. Socialize and make s’mores by a campfire. Cost is $8, and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 and refer to activity #425043-00. (threeriversparks.org)

Fall flowers

Kayak color tour

Cleary Lake Regional Park, 1-3 p.m. Sept. 24
