Percussion powerhouse

Colin Currie is one of the world's few percussionists with a thriving soloist career. This hugely talented player — "the world's finest and most daring percussionist," according to Britain's Spectator magazine — brings a phalanx of instruments for his Schubert Club concert, including drums, vibraphone and marimba. Good Friday masterpiece

Written in 1786 for a Good Friday service in Cadiz, Spain, Haydn's "The Seven Last Words of Christ" is a series of musical meditations on the final sentences uttered by Jesus on the cross.
