Good morning. Hopefully you made it to work or school safely today. That wasn't the case for five wrestling teams that were scheduled to compete at the 32-team Clash in Rochester today and Saturday.

Three teams from Missouri (Blue Springs, Oak Grove and Park Hill), along with the teams from Independence, Iowa, and Skutt Catholic of Omaha were unable to negotiate the wintry road conditions and did not travel to Rochester. One replacement was found: Zumbrota-Mazeppa will make the short drive to Rochester, making the field 28 teams.

The brackets had to be shuffled, with the No. 1 seed in each of today's four brackets receiving a bye in the first round. Those teams are Apple Valley, Montini Catholic (Ill)., Simley and Wisconsin Rapids.

I'll be heading to Rochester this morning, writing an On Preps column featuring the team from the Punahou School in Honolulu.

Stay warm.
