Weather May Impact Pocono Race

A cold front will move across the state of Pennsylvania on Sunday, causingscattered showers and thunderstorms.This front will make its way through northeastern Pennsylvania early in theafternoon, which could allow for some showers and even a thunderstorm to impactthe big race in Long Pond.

Any rainfall could lead to a delay and the best chance for this appears to beduring the first half of the race. Drier air will build in later in theafternoon as clouds give way to a bit of sunshine. Any change in the sky covercould lead to dramatic changes in the handling of the cars making for someexciting racing.
