Weather for the Fourth of July

Hot weather will dominate a large part of the United States this Fourth of Julywith temperatures reaching the 90s from the intermountain region to the EasternSeaboard. One spot that will be really hot is the southern Plains where highswill be at or just over 100 degrees. The hottest temperatures (110 to 120degrees), however, will be reached in the deserts of the Southwest which issomewhat typical of this time of year. Consider Palm Springs, Calif., where thenormal high is 108 on the Fourth of July.Thunderstorms will impact various sections of the country on Monday as shownbut by a large most of the country will not be getting any rain on the Fourth.
