The Kentucky Derby will take place Saturday. The race is scheduled to startat 6:04 p.m. EDT. At race time, it is likely to be partly sunny withtemperatures in the mid-60s. The wind will be out of the northwest at 10-20mph.I am not knowledgeable as to what weather conditions are best for horseracing. However, I have to believe that 90-degree heat would be the worst casescenario. Rest assured that a cool front is coming, and it will not be hot inLouisville this weekend.
