July 13, 2009 at 8:25PM

The launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavour was once again cancelled due tobad weather Sunday evening. A slow-moving line of thunderstorms just to thewest of the launch pad has been the main cause for the delay. Lightning strikesSaturday cancelled an attempt during that evening as well. On two otheroccasions, it was hydrogen leaks that prevented Endeavour's launch. The next scheduled launch for the fifth try will be today at 6:51 p.m. EDT.

The possibility for thunderstorms at the time of launch will exist again thisevening. However, the odds for a thunderstorm at the new scheduled launch timewill only be about 30 percent within the area of the shuttle launch facility, located at Cape Canaveral on Florida's east coast.

Once in space, the crew of Endeavour will spend 16 days completing theconstruction of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory. Themission will involve five spacewalks.
