Weather for Atlantis Launch

Space Shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to launch on Monday afternoon at 2:28 p.m.EST. High pressure reigning over the Southeast will provide mostly sunny skies.

The temperature at launch time at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida willbe a warm 78 degrees, with northeast winds at 6-12 mph.

Conditions will remain calm and mostly sunny leading up to the launch as well,so no weather-related delays are expected for the fueling process. Atlantis'31st flight will carry a crew of six astronauts to the International SpaceStation to deliver supplies and two Express Logistic Carriers.
