The entire TPC Sawgrass course is spectacularly laid out, but the 17th hole is
something else. It would be fun to try and play that thing. I suppose I would
get one on the green eventually. I know the fans enjoy what goes on there, but
the players dread the tee shot over the lake to the island green. There is no
room for a miscue here. Hit it less than perfect, and you're staring at a
double bogey.
The 17th should be even more interesting Saturday when the wind picks up. By afternoon, the wind will be averaging 10 to 20 miles per hour out of the west.
The sun will shine most of tomorrow, and the high will be near 90. There could be a thundershower Saturday evening, then Sunday will be noticeably cooler with temperatures in the 70s much of the day.

We may hit 40F today before a Thursday storm brushes us with a slushy coating. 10" may fall on the Wisconsin Dells. I see 30s and a few 40s into mid-February. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson
