Weather at the Masters

April 8, 2009 at 8:30AM

As expected, Tuesday's weather was pretty brutal at the Augusta NationalGolf Club. The temperature barely made it past 50 degrees and the wind wasgusting to 30 mph.I guarantee it will not remain this bad all week. As a matter of fact, itwill get pretty nice for the first round. There will be a good deal of sunshineon Thursday, winds will be much lighter and afternoon temperatures will be inthe comfortable 70s.

On Friday, showers will swing in from the west, but it may stay dry inAugusta through the middle of the day. During the late afternoon and evening, there could be a period of thunder and lightning which is always of greatconcern to the players.

During the weekend, the front will move off to the east paving the way fordry, pleasant conditions for the final two rounds.
