MILWAUKEE — We Energies reports about 1,100 customers without power in Milwaukee and its suburbs as thunderstorms sweep through the region.

The company reports smaller outages in Appleton and areas west of Green Bay. About 280 customers are affected by those outages.

The National Weather Service has said the storms are expected to move through Wisconsin by Friday afternoon. But another storm system is coming late Friday or early Saturday.
