WCCO adds new morning show

Sunday mornings will start a little earlier on CBS affiliate.

The appetite for news in the morning keeps getting met by local broadcasters. The latest: "WCCO-TV News Sunday Morning," which will air from 6-7 a.m. starting Sunday, Sept. 9. Esme Murphy and meteorologist Matt Brickman will host.

The new program replaces the syndicated series "Storm Stories" and various informercials.

"We are always looking for opportunities to increase our commitment to serving our viewers,"" said WCCO general manager Brien Kennedy. "We feel Sunday morning is a great time to make this happen."
